Joining A Supply Chain
Having healthy local supply chains is a key contributor towards the growth of sustainable local economies. We collaborate with individual businesses, governments and large corporations to facilitate and support local participation in the supply chains of big industry. We can help your business prepare to secure long-term income streams, reach local content targets and direct you on a path to decarbonisation.
Joining The Supply Chains of Large Organisations and Governments
When you join major supply chains, it is important to consider the capacity and skills within your business and put a strategic plan in place to ensure you don’t get overwhelmed. We can work with your business to build you and your employees capability and strengthen tender applications so you’re in the best position to meet supply chain expectations.
Achieving Environmental Social Governance In Supply Chains
Business Foundations values sustainability, so we are committed to helping individual businesses, governments, and large corporations reduce their Scope 3 carbon emissions and implement circular economies. We are certified in the Corporate Value Supply Chain (Scope 3) Accounting and Reporting Standard. Our experts can help you with identifying, assessing and reporting your value chain emissions and finding ways to reduce them within your operations and supply chains.
Reaching Local Content Targets
Did you know that many supply chains have local content targets they are required to meet? These targets have been implemented to ensure small and medium-sized businesses are provided with equitable opportunities to sustainably grow. Over the past 30 years, we have built a strong network of local government authorities, chambers of commerce, and 1000s of businesses that we can help you identify and ensure they can meet your organisational requirements.
How We Have Helped
Hyperion Systems
Hyperion Systems has the second largest 3D printer in the southern hemisphere, created by the owner. Business Foundations developed a comprehensive value chain analysis process to bring this innovation to the marine industry. This included identifying key markets, such as developing commercial boats and construction for specialist form work, and exploring global supply chain opportunities. We continue to provide ongoing support as the business moves from start-up phase into production.
Beta Spuds
BetaSpuds is the largest processor and distributor of potatoes in Western Australia, with 55% of the market share and a well-developed and integrated supply chain from the farm to the retail store. As part of our work with BetaSpuds, we have provided advisory services on monetising the 6,000 - 7,000 tonnes of waste potatoes it processes annually, strategic planning support for their supply chains, and modernising operations for the transition to net-zero.
City of Rockingham
The marine defence industry is a major economic contributor to the City of Rockingham. We have been engaged on multiple occasions to run a series of workshops that build capacity in local businesses so they could join the defence supply chain. We collaborated with the City and the Department of Defence and Prime Contractors to create a relevant workshop suite that focused on procurement and business management.
