Donna is an experienced BAS Agent/Bookkeeper and runs a busy contract bookkeeping business. One of the services she provides involves working directly with business owners in a coaching role, so they can DIY their own books. Her impressive experience spans professional service industries, Market Research, Medical, Building and Construction, Entertainment, Dental, Financial, Retail group, Hotel, Pharmacy, Transport, Real Estate and a Vineyard.

About the Course

As a small business owner, you’ll be familiar with juggling several tasks at once. As well as keeping things running, you need to generate income, keep your customers happy whilst looking after your financial information.

Managing your finances can be a challenge, especially if you don’t understand the basic components of bookkeeping. Without understanding the what’s and whys, you can’t do it effectively and you may be making mistakes that could end up being not tax compliant.

It is important for business owner to continuously learn new skills and to invest in training when required. Good bookkeeping is a must for any small business and in the long run learning how to manage your finance properly will save you precious time and money.

While business bookkeeping is compulsory it can also be a powerful tool for your business. The information you can extract from your bookkeeping system can help you to run your business successfully.

  • Applying your business registrations to your bookkeeping software
  • Bookkeeping terminology and concepts – what goes on it in background of your software
  • Compliance – what the ATO needs from you
  • What expenses can YOUR business claim?
  • Producing compliant invoices that get paid on time
  • Lodging your Business Activity Statement
  • GST and income tax
  • Reports that help you to run your business
